ChinaBio® Investor Forum 2008 - Shanghai a Success

The ChinaBio® Investor Forum held in Shanghai on July 7-8 was deemed a success by its organizer, ChinaBio® Accelerator.  Over 250 attendees gained insights into the state of China's life science industry from 24 speakers including venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and big pharma executives.  There were also 21 companies that presented to nearly 80 venture capitalists at the event.  Two were chosen by a panel of VCs to be named the "Most Promising Companies" at the event.  The next ChinaBio® Investor Forum will be held in Suzhou on August 28-29. 

The winning companies were Shenogen Pharma Group of Beijing, and Beyond Diagnostics Inc. based in Shanghai.  Both companies illustrated the trend in China toward the development of new technologies rather than "me too" products.
